Baked Fish in Lemon Mustard Sauce is the perfect, easy one-pan recipe that gets ready in effortless 20 minutes. Tender and juicy fish fillets are baked with lemon cream sauce and mustard to make this flavourful and easy recipe. The whole process is quite simple; fish is seasoned with salt and pepper and then coated with a flavourful sauce and finally baked to tender perfection. In this recipe, low-fat cream is used. However, you can use heavy cream which gives an even more delicious outcome. Serve this delicious baked fish with some mashed potato, baked broccoli and green salad.

Ingredients
  

  • 350 gm Fish Fillet
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Mustard Powder
  • 3 tbsp Cream
  • 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Garlic (minced)
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper (crushed)
  • Fresh Coriander For garnishing
  • Lemon wedges For garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Clean and wash fish fillets. Tap dry the fillets with a kitchen towel and keep them aside.
  • Take a grinder and add 3 tablespoons of yellow mustard seeds and grind it to a smooth fine powder at high speed. Keep it aside.
  • Take a microwave-safe bowl. Add butter, cream, mayonnaise, mustard powder, garlic, lemon juice, salt and freshly crushed black pepper. Mix it well and heat this mixture in a microwave for 1 minute (30 seconds bursts), stir in between until melted and smooth.
  • Place fish in a baking dish. Sprinkle both sides of fish with salt and black pepper according to your taste.
  • Pour over the above mixture on the fish and spread it evenly. Bake it in a preheated oven at 200 C for 10-12 minutes or until fish is just cooked.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer fish to a serving plate. Spoon over the sauce and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
  • Serve the baked fish with mashed potato, baked broccoli and green salad.
