Ingredients
Turmeric Milk with Fresh Turmeric
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 tsp Ginger , grated
- 1 tsp Fresh Turmeric , grated
- ½ tsp Black Pepper , crushed
- ½ tsp Ghee (Clarified butter)
- 1 tsp Honey (optional)
Turmeric milk with Turmeric Powder
- 1 cup Milk
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Ginger Powder
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 2 Clove
- 1 tsp Coconut Oil
- 1 tsp Honey (optional)

Instructions
Turmeric Milk with Fresh Turmeric
- Take a saucepan and heat 1 cup of milk on a low-medium flame. (note: if you want to make it vegan, then instead of milk, you can use coconut milk, soy milk or almond milk).
- Add grated fresh turmeric, grated ginger, crushed black pepper and ghee (instead of ghee, you can add butter or coconut oil).
- Whisk it well and let it simmer on low flame for 3-4 minutes until all the flavours are absorbed well into the milk. Stir it occasionally.
- Turn off the flame and strain the milk into a cup. Let the milk cool down slightly.
- Add honey ( or any sweetener of your choice like sugar, jaggery, stevia etc.)and stir it well. This is an optional step; you can skip this step if you don't like to add sweetener to the milk.
- Serve the turmeric milk or golden milk warm.
Turmeric milk with Turmeric Powder
- Take a saucepan and heat 1 cup of milk on a low-medium flame.
- Add turmeric powder, ginger powder, crushed black pepper, cinnamon, clove and coconut oil.
- Whisk it well and let it simmer on low flame for 3-4 minutes until all the flavours are absorbed well into the milk. Stir it occasionally.
- Turn off the flame and strain the milk into a cup. Let the milk cool down slightly.
